Palace of Holyroodhouse
Located at one end the Royal Mile, is Holyrood, the offical royal residence in Scotland. The abby dates from the 12th century. James IV later converted the royal residence to a palace for his bride Margaret Tudor.



This tower is the oldest part of the palace.
Holyrood Abbey









The abbey was once much larger than what you can see today.





Holyrood Park and Arthur’s Seat
If your up for a day of hiking, Holyrood Park has a lot to offer. There are several routes of varying difficulty and you get spectacular views of the city.
