Located in a former foundry, in the eleventh arrondissement, in Paris, the Atelier des Lumieres presents the most incredible exhibitions EVER! It is an immersive, animated experience unlike anything else.

We were fortunate to see the 2019 Van Gogh exhibit. It was their second production, following the 2018 presentation of works by Klimt.

They have done an incredible job of presenting the art along with music. You get different views as you wander the space.

Many pieces include animations and at times the works move along the walls creating a highly immersed experience.

Once you enter, you can stay as long as you like. We stayed for two full rounds (of 3 programs). It is really difficult to leave because you don’t want the experience to end.

In addition to the Van Gogh program, there was a second exhibit:
Dreamed Japan

The current (2020) exhibition includes work from Monet, Renoir, Chagall, and Yves Klein.
If you are in Paris, I cannot recommend this enough.
