The Cinque Terre

July 2018

The Cinque Terre is a string of 5 seaside villages on the northwest coast of Italy. This part of the Liguria region includes rugged terrain, colorful villages and terraced hillsides.  The best way to get to and around the area is by train. Between mid-March and early November, the Cinque Terre Express runs about every 20 minutes between Levanto and La Spezia with stops at the 5 villages in between.

Riomaggiore

The most southern of the villages is Riomaggiore.
