The Forum and Colosseum

Fontana del Tritone
This 17th century fountain is the work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. It is located near the entrance of Pallazo Barberini.

Basilica de Santa Maria Maggiore

One of the great things about Rome is that every time you turn a corner there is something great staring you in the face. It’s ridiculous.

The Pantheon, once a Roman temple, then a church, it is one of Rome best preserved ancient buildings. Here also lies the tomb of Raphael.

\
As with many buildings, the marble work is unreal.

The plaza in front of the Pantheon.

Trevi Fountain- the largest Baroque fountain in Rome.

A bit crowded but worth a visit.

Legend has it that if you throw a coin into the fountain you will return to Rome. It is estimated that around 3,000 Euros are thrown into the fountain each day. In 2016, around 1.5 million (USD) was thrown into the fountain. The money is used to subsidize a grocery store for Rome’s needy.
