Inside the former French Concession of Shanghai, China is the beautiful Fu Xing Park. It was laid out by the French in 1909 and at one time was the largest park in Shanghai.

There is a beautiful rose garden.

Throughout the park, there are people talking and playing games.

Down another path, we came to a small pond

and a game of Mahjong.

Card games seem popular and there is always an audience.

As we walked along, we could hear music up ahead and found this field.

and dancing

and a new friend

who kept on dancing even after I had gone.

We are definitely going to need to get a kite.

First steps.

We have noticed that people spend a lot of time outside in Shanghai. Every evening there are people out walking and playing at our apartment compound and in the neighborhood.
Even the cat likes the park.

As usual we didn’t even see the whole park (too busy taking pictures and looking at stuff). We decided we would save the rest for another day and head out to find some food and drink. As we were leaving, there were more groups of dancers

and people enjoying their Saturday.

Hope you had a good one too.
