Borobudur Temple, built in the 9th century, is the worlds largest Buddhist monument.

Because it is Indonesia’s most visited tourist attraction there can be large crowds. One of the best times to visit is before the park is officially open. If you head out early, like 4am, you can purchase a sunrise ticket, and with flashlight in hand, you can walk across the park and climb to the top of the temple while it is still dark.
It is totally worth it!

The experience and the view at this time of day are amazing.
The temple measures 123 meters X 123 meters. It has 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues.

The temple was built without the use of any mortar or cement and was rediscovered in 1815 buried under volcanic ash.

Amazing. Just amazing. Thank you so much for the photos.
