Kota Tua is what remains of Batavia.  It is located on the north end of town near the harbor and was once the commercial center of the Dutch East India Company. Some of the architecture remains and several of the buildings surrounding this square have been converted to museums.Deborah, Melissa, and I spent a day in Kota Tua this weekend.

Our day began with a ride across town on the bus.  Then crossing this street.  Even on weekends there can be a lot of traffic.
